Playground

Maura and Brody love playing at the playground. The playground is covered, so it is really cool in the evenings for some outside play time.

Connestee Falls

Today Chris and I hiked to Connestee Falls while Maura and Brody napped. These are the pictures of the gorgeous water falls we saw. Chris thinks he is going back to go swimming before we leave!

North Carolina

We are at Connestee Falls in North Carolina with the Thomas family this week. It is just Tuesday, and we have had a great time already.

Today I took Maura and Brody over to the pool where Aunt Laura is vacationing. They wore their swimmies for the first time, but they definitely aren't like those plastic orange ones we used to wear. I actually looked to see if those type swimmies were still made, but I did not have any luck finding them. Maura dunked her head in the water quite a few times and "borrowed" toys from other kids. Brody just relaxed, and played with the toys that Maura brought him.

One of my bosses from Atlanta is in town this week, so she brought her five year old boy/girl twins over this morning to play with Maura and Brody. We worked at the table while the twins played. It was great to see them playing, but it also gave me a little glimpse of the future with twins!

While cleaning up the kitchen tonight, Chris and I noticed Maura was very quiet. We found her after hearing the music playing on the zebra UPSTAIRS. Oh yes, she opened the door, climbed up the stairs alone, and was playing on the zebra! She turned her head as the flash went off on the camera.

Maura Walking

Maura started walking today! It would have been a great birthday present for Chris to have her walk yesterday, but she still surprised him today when he got home from work. Maura walked straight across the room and into his arms.
