Eight Weeks Old

We had a great weekend at home. Friday night Maura and Brody went to play with Carson while Chris and I went to a birthday party. I thoroughly enjoyed some adult conversation! Saturday they were troopers while we went shopping for Chris's birthday. Sunday they went to the church nursery for the first time, and they wore smocked outfits that Grandmother Thomas made. Luckily we made it because the outfits won't fit much longer! Monday we went back to Carson's house for a pool party. Hopefully next year they will be ready for swimming!

Nothing too exciting was happening this week, so I just took some photos at home. I am definitely not a professional, but I had fun taking some different shots with Maura and Brody. They were both really cooperative with me. Hopefully within the next week I will be able to get some pictures of them smiling.

Maura and Brody did have some visitors on Wednesday afternoon. Hannah and Hayley Hall came to visit. These are two girls that Chris and I babysat when they were little, and now they are going to be babysitters for Maura and Brody!

Saturday night we went out to treat my mom for Mother's Day. Maura and Brody had their first trip to Bennie's Red Barn, but they really did not know they were there because they slept the entire time. Sunday was baby dedication at church, so we had family in town. Both sets of grandparents came to visit and several aunts and uncles. Maura and Brody wore outfits that my mom smocked for them. These might be the only pictures we have of Brody in his outfit because he insists on beefing up at an ourageous pace! Maura and Brody were worn out after everyone left, so they slept pretty soundly last night only waking to eat. My first Mother's Day was wonderful!!

First Savannah Visit

After going to the doctor Monday morning, I drove right back up I-95 to Savannah. Chris went to Atlanta on business, so I took Maura and Brody to see their other grandparents for two days. They did great in the car. My mom and dad each got to show them off at work on Monday. On Tuesday we had lots of visitors including the their great-grandparents whom Maura and Brody met for the first time. Everyone is coming back this weekend for baby dedication, so we will have more pictures next week after another busy weekend.

This past weekend Maura and Brody visited the entire Thomas family. It was their first of many trips north on I-95! All of the aunts and uncles got a chance to hold them- some for the first time. Their grandparents got up with them at night, so Chris and I were well rested when we returned home on Sunday. Of course, Maura and Brody were rotten as anything, but that is to be expected.
