Gifts from Gretchen

Last weekend we were able to see lots of family at Scott and Megan's wedding. Chris's Aunt Gretchen brought a birthday present for Maura and Brody, and we just had to do a photo shoot this morning before heading out for the day. Gretchen knitted a vest for Brody and a matching sweater for Maura. They looked absolutely adorable! Brody looked a little preppy, and Maura was just a bit on the sassy side!

Easter Day

My mom worked so hard on making Easter outfits for Maura and Brody, and they both end up getting sick the day before. We did dress them up and take pictures in the yard. We also took a few with their Easter baskets. They will wear their outfits this week to church, and I promise to take some more pictures.

Uncle Scott's Wedding

Chris's twin brother, Scott, got married on Saturday, so we went to Savannah for all of the wedding festivities. Friday night Maura and Brody stayed home with my parents, and they woke up Saturday morning not feeling well at all. Maura had fever, and Brody developed a fever shortly after lunch. We managed to take the twins to the wedding, but I only did so with my parents helping! Brody did nap for about an hour that afternoon, but Maura did not sleep a wink. Their eyes are droopy in all of the pictures, but they did not fuss at all during the wedding. Thankfully the wedding was outside! My parents took Maura and Brody back home immediately after the wedding because they were so tired, sick and hungry. Imagine our surprise when we walked in late that night, and Maura and Brody were still awake!

Birthday Outfits

Grandmother made some birthday outfits for Maura and Brody that they wore to church on Sunday. They were both really tired after waking up at 5:30 in the morning because we did not let them take a nap before we left about 8:30. I looked through the handmade outfits hanging in the closet, and I already have to get a new container for them. I am keeping those separate from the purchased clothing because Maura and Brody hope to share with some cousins one day.

First Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the Easter Egg Hunt at church, so I took Maura and Brody. I had to pull them in the wagon since Chris was working because I was not about to carry them around. Luckily the weather was perfect, and they both enjoyed being outside. The church hid over 5,000 eggs for the children, so Maura and Brody each came home with a basket full of eggs. They had a little help from their friend, Lindsay. After she filled her basket with eggs, Lindsay found eggs for Maura and Brody.

April Showers

I believe I had another coming of age experience this week. I completely understand why moms do not like consecutive days of rain. Even at one year old, Maura and Brody were getting bored staying in the house all day! Their boredom made them turn on each other eventually!

Playing with Carson

Today we went to bring lunch to Carson and Miss Jamie. Carson became a big brother last week, so I took Maura and Brody to play with Carson and to see Cooper. Carson was really patient with Maura and Brody because all they wanted to do was eat his toys and his puzzle.
