Today is New Year's Eve, and Maura and Brody turned nine months old. We are celebrating New Year's Eve in South Carolina with the entire Thomas family, so I had lots of help taking pictures this afternoon. Maura and Brody looked adorable in their khaki corduroy pants and red tops, and I managed to get many shots with several family members. The only bad thing about taking pictures today were the gnats! It was the last day of the year, and the gnats were swarming around while we were taking pictures.

Riding in the Wagon

Maura and Brody got a wagon from Aunt Laura and Aunt Angela. They have taken a ride every day since Christmas. Both of them absolutely love being outside and riding around the neighborhood in the wagon. This wagon is going to be my lifesaver every evening
when Chris starts working long hours during tax season!

Maura and Brody decided the bows were better than the presents!

Maura and Brody opened a few presents before we left for Savannah. Santa brought them each a monogrammed duffle bag that we needed for the trip home. Of course, we hope it will get used some this year when Maura and Brody go stay with their grandparents some! Chris and I decided to let them play with their toys from Santa, too, because there won't be room in the car to take those with us.

Christmas Party

Today is Maura and Brody's first Christmas party. Susan is having a little party for the children that she watches throughout the week. Luckily Brody was feeling well enough this morning to be able to go to the party. The kids were really excited to get dressed up, bring their presents, and have lots of goodies!

since it is supposed to be around 80 degrees today!

More Clothes

Maura and Brody got some more outfits in the mail yesterday. Lulu made these red corduroy outfits that are reversible. We will take pictures of them wearing the other side of the outfits later this week. It seems that 6:45am is the time of day I get the best pictures!

Christmas Outfits

This Sunday we went to Crane Cottage on Jekyll after church for pictures with Santa. Grandmother Thomas smocked gingerbread men outfits for Maura and Brody, and we wanted them to take pictures with Santa in those outfits. By the time Chris and I picked the twins up from the nursery, Brody had spit up on his outfit and lost his socks and shoes. Maura had kicked her shoes off, ripped the bow out of her hair, and had biten a hole in her tights. Her whole foot was poking through the tights! We just laughed and did the best we could to get a few pictures with Santa. Maura loved Santa, and Brody lasted about two minutes before the tears starting coming!

We tried to get some photos of Maura and Brody in their many Christmas outfits. Aunt Laura bought them some cute white outfits with candy canes on them. Maura and Brody wore those to church last week, and Chris tried to take a picture of the three of us before heading out the door. We were never successful in getting three smiles at the same time!

This was the best we could do!
