Attempt at Christmas Pictures

Brody in his Christmas outfit

Maura in her Christmas dress

After numerous attempts at a picture together, I finally gave up, and took individual pictures of Maura and Brody. I assume they each wanted to have their own pictures this year! The pictures were better this way at least.

Reese's Cups

Maura and Brody decided that they really enjoy Reese cups! I am not quite sure how many they ate today after lunch.

Finding a Christmas Tree

We took the twins this morning to get our Christmas tree. They both thought it was a great time for hide-and-seek, so we did not spend too much time actually looking at the trees! I would like to think they are checking out a tree in the top photo. However, Maura and Brody were really staring at these two olders boys. Brody wanted to play with them, but Maura was flirting a little. Needless to say, Chris found us a tree, and we loaded up quickly once he realized what Maura was doing!

Thanksgiving 2009

I came down the hall, and Maura met me at the corner with this little grin on her face. I found Brody with all of the shredded toilet paper at the other end of the hall. Maura definitely helped him shred the paper; she just thought leaving the scene meant she wasn't guilty!

Jacksonville Zoo

Today we took Maura and Brody to the Jacksonville Zoo. They both thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the animals and even petting some goats. We did not even make it back to I-95 before both Maura and Brody were sound asleep in the back seat.

Spider Shirts

It is truly becoming harder and harder to get them both
in a decent pose for a picture. Guess that comes with the age.

Maura and Brody have matching spider shirts for Halloween that my mom made. It was rather hilarious to watch them immediately after I put them on because they were not too sure about the long sleeves. They don't remember what it felt like to wear long sleeves. I really wish I had a camera of Brody walking around throwing his arms up and down in the air. Chris and I got a great laugh at 7:00 in the morning!

Coloring

Although it is still early, I think Brody is going to be a lefty. He colors only with his left hand, and he predominately eats with his left hand. Yet another way he is just like his daddy. Maura still uses both hands, but she seems to favor her right hand more than the left.

18 Months Old

Maura and Brody are 18 months old now! The time really has flown by, and Chris and I are enjoying every minute of it. Today we went for the well check, and we have reached one of many competitive milestones. Maura was taller than Brody today. It was only by 1/4 inch, but it still counts. Of course Brody had the advantage in the weight category by nearly three pounds, but Maura is claiming the height advantage.

Maura climbed on daddy's lawnmower while I put Brody in his car seat!

Sibling Rumble

Brody has finally learned to hold his own against Maura. It only took him 18 months, but Brody no longer lets Maura boss him around. When she tries to take control of him, Brody likes to take Maura to the ground. Sometimes he grabs her and just hugs her, and other times Brody gets Maura all the way to the ground like in the picture. Typically they both end up laughing and rolling around, but this time I actually had to pull Brody off of her!

Lil Gamecocks

our little angels

Even though I hate taking pictures of Maura and Brody wearing these shirts, I have to let them support Chris's team too! The Gamecocks play tonight, so the twins are sporting their shirts today. Maybe I will give them something messy to eat for lunch, and then I will just have to change their shirts!

Playing at the Neals

Thursday evening we played at the Neals. Carson gave Maura and Brody rides in his Jeep. Maura thought it was ok for two laps, but Brody enjoyed it so much he did not want to get out. Cooper just hung out watching those wild toddlers run around!

GO DAWGS!!

Maura does not have a recent picture without the thumb in the mouth and the blankie by her side. Brody just hangs out and goes with the flow. They will be wearing these UGA shirts quite often this football season.

North Augusta in August 2009

This weekend we went to North Augusta to visit Maura and Brody's great-grandparents. Although it made for a long day, we all enjoyed the visit. Maura and Brody also had their first trip to Sconyer's BBQ while we were there. Aunt Sheri got a workout keeping up with Maura for several hours on Saturday evening!
