A dear friend from Glynn Middle gave me these Thing 1 and Thing 2 Dr. Suess onesies while I was pregnant with Maura and Brody. I always forget to take a picture of them when they wear these, so I finally snapped some photos this morning.

Long days of being sick

Brody had a bad ear infection and high fever over the weekend. We stayed in all weekend and Monday as well. Unfortunately, Monday seemed to be the day that Brody decided to fuss, whine, and cry ALL day long. Maura and I both were beyond delirious by the time Chris got home from work that evening. At dinner Brody started sputtering and spitting when I put food in his mouth. Maura thought it was hilarious, so she started doing it to. They both were laughing for the first time all day, so I just kept giving them more food and letting the mess get bigger! I was just thankful they were both having fun for the first time all day. The pictures below are the end of the first food fight!

Maura did get a little peace when I put Brody down for a nap first yesterday afternoon. I think this was the only time she got one-on-one attention until Chris got home.

Papa and Lulu Visit

Papa and Lulu came this weekend to bring the Christmas presents that did not fit in our car. Yes, they brought just a "few" items when they came. Maura and Brody played all weekend with my parents, and Chris and I went out Saturday night. We all had a great time.

Early in the morning...

Maura and Brody were up early again this morning. They played nonstop for a couple of hours. I snapped some photos of them playing and laughing at each other. Lulu and Papa are coming tonight, so Maura and Brody will be playing all weekend!

Waking Up Early

Maura and Brody woke up about 5:00am this morning. They were having a great time talking and laughing with one another. It only lasted about 30 minutes before they were ready to get up for the day. By 7:30 am both Brody and Maura were in a daze. These are two photos of what they looked like this morning after waking up so early.

Today is New Year's Eve, and Maura and Brody turned nine months old. We are celebrating New Year's Eve in South Carolina with the entire Thomas family, so I had lots of help taking pictures this afternoon. Maura and Brody looked adorable in their khaki corduroy pants and red tops, and I managed to get many shots with several family members. The only bad thing about taking pictures today were the gnats! It was the last day of the year, and the gnats were swarming around while we were taking pictures.
